The Ancient Arabic Order of the Nobles of the Mystic Shrine, also known as Shriners, was established in 1870. It serves an appendant body to Freemasonry. The group receive a name change in 2010. It is now known as Shriners International with over 200 chapters across North America, South America, Europe, and Southeast Asia. One of the most notable things about the Shriners is the group’s giving spirit. The Shriners Hospital for Children cares for those in need. The organization is based on fraternity, fun, and fellowship. The members wear a red fez hat on their heads in parades and at other gatherings.
