Custom Pin Customer Reviews
Making a Difference With Cause Awareness Pins
Awareness ribbons present an opportunity for us to take a stand. Our Signature Pins team has had the
opportunity to work alongside all kinds of different charities and awareness groups to help spread the word on
social issues and medical causes. It’s our hope that the custom designs we help create for these groups
represent another step closer to a cure or an end to social distress. If you and your team are ready to make a
statement, we’re here to help.
Designing a Custom Awareness Ribbon Pin
The traditional awareness ribbon design is familiar, but there is still room to add personality and unique
appeal to your designs when crafting custom lapel pins. Sometimes our customers like to change things up by
adding text around a ribbon, above a ribbon or even inside a ribbon design. Other times, our clients choose to
add the ribbon to some other kind of design. This is a great way for charities and corporations to include
their own logos and emblems in a custom awareness lapel pin design.
When it comes to custom designs, the sky’s the limit. Our art team has experience handcrafting one-of-a-kind
custom lapel pins in all kinds of different shapes, sizes and colors. Almost all of the awareness lapel pins
we help create fall into the category of either soft enamel pins or hard enamel pins (cloisonne).
Enamel is a specific type of paint we use to create beautifully vibrant designs. Soft enamel pins have a more
traditional look and feel than other options. The enamel colors are put in the recessed portions of a design,
leaving the raised metal of the pins untouched. This means that when you run your finger across the surface of
the pin, you feel the texture of the raised lines of the design and the gaps between the raised and recessed
areas of the artwork.
Hard enamel pins, also called cloisonne pins, have a smooth surface because the recessed portions of the
design are filled with a glass-like resin enamel to an even level with the raised metal of a pin’s surface.
This style of lapel pin makes for a clean looking design with a sharp contrast between colors. No matter which
style you prefer, soft enamel or cloisonne, you can be sure that the final result will be a unique design that
will help you make an impression for your cause.
