Clubs run on belonging, and a pin is the cheapest, most durable way to make belonging visible. Member and Membership Pins

The most common club pin is the plain member pin — the club’s emblem, its name, and often the year. Dated member pins do double duty: they identify the club to outsiders and they quietly record how long someone has been in it, which is why so many clubs collect them. A pin that reads “Member 2025” is a new order every January and a reason for members to renew before the run is made.

Officer, Founder, and Milestone Pins

Most clubs want to distinguish a few people without running a separate awards program. The usual approach is one base design in more than one plating: high-polish gold for officers and past officers, silver for members, antique finishes for founders or charter members. A small added element — a star, a bar, a year tab, a dangler hung under the pin — does the same job for less, since it reuses the same mold.

Milestone pins work the same way. A club marking a 10th, 25th, or 100th anniversary usually adds the year and a ribbon or laurel to the standard emblem, and hands them out once. Hobby and Enthusiast Club Pins

Hobby clubs are the most fun to design for, because the subject does the work: a curling stone, a dance silhouette, a barrel and pour, a motorcycle, a dragon for an author’s fan club. These designs usually want color and shape rather than formality, which points at soft enamel or hard enamel with a cut-to-shape outline — and a custom shape costs no extra, because the same die that strikes the design cuts the perimeter.

Glitter enamel, translucent color over struck metal, and printed detail are all available at pin scale, which matters for the designs where a logo is more illustration than mark.

Sports, Social, and Service Club Pins

Golf and country clubs, booster clubs, rotary and service clubs, and recreational sports clubs all order in the same shape: one emblem, a membership run, and a smaller set of officer or volunteer pins. Clubs that travel to tournaments or conventions usually add a second, trade-friendly design — a trading pin is the currency at those events, and it’s a different piece from the member pin.

Every pin ships with an 8 mm post and your choice of butterfly or rubber clutch at no charge. Two attachments are worth asking about for clubs specifically: magnetic backs, for members who wear a pin on a blazer or uniform they’d rather not pierce, and safety-pin backs for badge holders and lanyards at meetings and conventions.
