Random Pins With Funny Designs

A Look at the Lighter Side of Pins

If there’s one thing we know for sure, it’s that lapel pins can be used anywhere. A lot of the pins we talk about are designed for the big Fortune 500 companies of the world and used in employee recognition programs. Nonprofits and charities create awareness ribbon pins and special event pins that help spread the word and raise money for an important cause. However, not all of the pins we help design are created for such a straightforward purpose.

A lot of the pins we make are pretty random. We’re not exactly sure who they’re for or if they have any real purpose besides being a funny pin you can collect, and that’s what makes them so much fun! Lapel pins don’t have to be so serious, and with this in mind, we thought it would be fun to show off a few of our favorite random pins.

Random Pins Related to Food

If you’re having trouble finding inspiration for a design, it might help to just take a look around your house and see what you have lying around. Some of the most random pin designs we’ve seen are based on everyday things that most people have around the house, like food.

Random Pins by Signature Pins

This is just a small taste of the collection of food pins we’ve created over the years. We could have shown off a bunch more, but we decided to narrow it down to just a few of our favorites like the ninja ice cream cone and the avocado bear.

The cloisonne design of the avocado bear gives it a crisp, cartoony appearance, adding a unique sense of character to the cute bear at the center. As for the little ninja guy, who knew that ice cream could look so sneaky?

The pizza slice has always been a favorite around the office as well. We’re not exactly sure why someone wanted to create a version of the All-Seeing Eye this way. Maybe nothing says “conspiracy theory” quite like a slice of pizza.

Not knowing the story behind these pins makes them even more fun. The pickle pin illustrates this idea the best. It’s just a pickle, and somehow it’s always been a favorite here at Signature Pins. It doesn’t really serve a purpose, but the randomness of it seems to make people laugh.

Pins With Random Words

When it comes to custom pins designed for special events or nonprofits, a message of some kind is almost always included in the artwork. Including text in a design is a great way to spread your message or share your brand with the world. However, while most pins use text to make the artwork more clear, other designs include text simply to create a random or funny pin design.

Random Pins by Signature Pins2

We all have bad days when we feel like a mess, and we all have good days where we feel pretty rad. These aren’t the only pins that we’ve made with random words or phrases mixed into the design, but these two always seem to make people laugh around the office. Whether you feel like a mess or you’re feeling pretty rad, every day is a good day to wear a funny pin like one of these.

Funny Pins Designed to Look Like Everyday Objects

Most of the souvenir pins you'll see are inspired by famous landmarks like the Statue of Liberty or the Eiffel Tower. There’s a whole world of incredible things to capture in a custom pin design, making these pins seem even more random and perplexing.

Random Pins by Signature Pins3

The ugly sweater pin is probably the most relatable. Nothing says “happy holidays!” like an ugly sweater. The box and the mustache, on the other hand, don’t make much sense out of context. The box looks as though it might have some sort of magic bubbling inside, so maybe it’s Pandora’s box. As for the mustache, we haven’t got a clue. But that doesn’t stop us from loving the design.

Without any text included in the design, the interpretation of the artwork is left up to the viewer. While it might not be the same for everyone, here at Signature Pins, we think that this is an awesome way to design a pin. The random artwork you end up with is sure to generate a lot of buzz as people try to figure out what it means or talk about what it reminds them of.

A Little Randomness Will Bring Your Pin Design to Life

We’ve been in the business of making custom pins for a long time. Just when we think we’ve seen it all, another random pin design pops up that we’ve never seen before, and that’s what makes this industry so exciting! We’re always on the lookout for new and interesting designs, no matter how random they might be.

If you’re in the market for a set of custom lapel pins, remember to let your imagination run wild. Random, funny pins like these don’t seem to have a clear message, and that’s what makes them so much fun! Sometimes, avoiding text and sticking to a simple design is all you need to get people talking.

No matter what you’re looking for, you can bet that we’re here to help. Send us all of your random ideas for pin designs today, and see what we can dream up for you!
