Players collect baseball trading pins over the years as they face different teams and travel up and down the countryside. The pins come in all kinds of unique shapes, colors and sizes, and each one tells a different story.
This question should be familiar to anyone with a cherished pin collection. Players inevitably find themselves holding a favorite pin and teetering on the verge of trading it away for another design that’s just as good. To trade or not to trade? But these moments and the efforts that go into building a unique collection of pins are what make the experience so much fun.
Baseball team trading pins have come a long way since Little League Baseball introduced their first official trading pin back in 1983, and over the years we’ve seen some incredible custom designs for teams all over the nation. Because they all come in different shapes, sizes and colors, each pin tells a unique story, but they’re all connected by a common love of collecting and trading.
Customizing Your Own Baseball Team Trading Pins
We offer as many custom options as possible for our sports trading pins because we want to make sure our clients have everything they need to bring their vision for design to life. Soft enamel pins have become the go-to style for baseball and softball pins because of their traditional look and feel, with enamel colorfill added to the recessed portions of the design. This creates a two-layer effect that any pin trader will recognize.
If your goal is to create the most sought after baseball trading pin on the field, adding custom options like blinkers, bobbles, danglers, glitter, sliders or spinners is a great place to start. While these are some of our most popular additions for custom baseball and softball trading pins, we have the ability to make any idea work.
Different sports teams find their own ways of incorporating these unique options into their trading pin designs, ensuring that no two pins are ever the same. Whether you need a colorful soft enamel trading pin, a die struck pin with spinners and danglers, or anything else in between, we’ve got you covered.

A trading pin dangler is a movable part and requires a second mold and design. Typically the dangler is attached via a "ring" but they can also be attached to small jewelry chain. The dangler option is often used to designate tournament details, like the year of the tournament, a baseball, a glove, a softball, the state, and more. Most commonly danglers are used to designate the year of the tournament series.

A spinner is a small second pin joined on to the first which twists and turns. Spinners can come in any shape you can imagine, but the spinner style is important to your overall design and can come in the shape of bats, baseballs, softballs etc. They add extreme value, trading power and dimension to your team's trading pins. Highly sought after at tournaments, the spinner option is an easy way to make your pin more tradeable.

No pins trade easier than those with a blinker. Blinkers add a high-tech "bling" to your Custom Trading Pins. Highly sought-after this battery powered colored lighting mechanism blinks when turned on. This option is sure to bring your custom trading pin to life like no other option we offer. Blinkers work great for eyes, and really stand out at night.

Glitter is an inexpensive way to make a sought after, highly visible and expensive looking team trading pin. Glitter is added to the enamel colors of your trading pin design. The glitter colors we use are very popular and the sparkle can really bring your design to life.
Bobbles are a second movable trading pin piece which is attached with a strong spring to the main pin. They "bobble" when the pin is moved creating an eye catching effect. This option is best for older kids as the spring can be a little more fragile than other attachments like blinkers or sliders.
$1.25 & Up
Sliders are very cool and easy to trade. A second, smaller pin is attached into a channel (the "slot") on the main pin and slides up and down or side to side. Sliders are eye appealing and give a sense of action to the trading pins. Common sliders include; players running a baseline, swinging bats and moving baseballs or softballs.
