Wholesale Pins and Bulk Lapel Pins

A custom shape costs the same as a round pin of the same size, and Pantone color matching is standard. The unit price already covers up to seven enamel colors and a butterfly or rubber clutch. It also covers the standard platings, which run from gold and silver through black nickel, copper, and the antique finishes.

How Price Breaks Work on Bulk Custom Pins

The pricing table below shows unit price, the cost of one pin, at each quantity break. Quantity matters more than anything else, though pin type, size, and upgrades all play a part.

A quantity that falls between two breaks prices at the lower break’s unit price, so 1,500 pins cost the same per pin as 1,000. Near the top of a tier it is often cheaper in total to step up to the next break and take the extra pins.

Pin Types With the Lowest Unit Price

Soft enamel pins and die struck pins have the lowest unit price of the molded pin types for most bulk orders. Die struck pins are all metal with no color fill. Soft enamel pins fill recessed areas with colored enamel and account for most of the wholesale enamel pins we make. Cloisonné pins cost more because of the extra polishing steps hard enamel requires. Offset printed pins and silkscreen pins handle gradients and photo detail at low unit cost.

Gemstones and cutouts add to the unit price, as do glitter or translucent enamel, a second plating variant, and specialty backs. The gold crown pins pictured above were set with red, green, and white rhinestones, which is the kind of upgrade worth pricing at two quantities before you decide.
